We did a video on c-trails in the fall when one of the hurricanes dissipated off of the west coast. And we did 2 videos on clouds in other 'Sky Wise' videos. One was on the cloud types, and the other on how they form.
There were charts before this cloud finder plugin for Windy that we used to determine if contrails were possible, called Appleman charts that the military developed. It was about the survival of aircraft, and it still applies today. The physics have not changed. It is about the conditions in the atmosphere. It is about the temperature and humidity combination.
If I were to interview people on the street today, and point to that bright white feathery cloud in the sky and ask what type of cloud it was maybe 10% of people could answer that question. And if I asked how high it is, in thousands of feet, maybe 1% could answer it. Why? Because very few were taught weather in school. No fault of your.

The use of these ice-nucleating agents at the level of cirrus clouds will force the over abundant ice crystals to precipitate down to the levels of the lower clouds.
It will perturb the coincidence theorists beyond endurance to learn that Robert Knollenberg, the inventor of the weather modification method using milled urea described above was also an acknowledged expert on contrail formation and published in 1971 (the same year) the seminal paper:

NASA refer to this paper today to confirm that the water from the jet engine as compared to atmospheric water in a contrail is relatively insignificant (conservatively estimated as being around 24,000 times less):

“The measured water mass within the contrail was found to be four orders of magnitude greater than that computed as a combustion product.”
Extremely curious however, are Knollenberg’s predictions in the paper on the likely effect of contrails on the amount of water in the upper atmosphere:
Knollenberg states in 1971 that contrails will shift water to lower levels in the atmosphere in the same year (as his statement) he patents a method for forcing water onto ice nuclei to perform the same function.
Then, starting in 1995 water levels in the atmosphere do just that, around the same time that people begin noticing military jets leaving behind “contrail-clouds” that occur at lower levels in the atmosphere where they have no business occurring. Note the jets don’t need to be operating at lower levels because the trails and contrail-clouds themselves descend to the lower levels where observers may misconstrue this as being due to lower jet flight paths.
This is followed by a simultaneous reduction in global cirrus cloud cover and a notable slowdown in the ascent of global surface temperatures often referred to by skeptics as the notorious “global warming pause.”

Btw, I'm in Alabama on Lookout mtn and saw jet tracks day after the polar blast storms were over. We haf finally gotten 1 day of a clear blue beautiful sky only to see them SAI starting. I watched the planes and the next day the sky was completely covered with filthy dirty fake cloudy skies that lasted all day. Man I was pissed and disappointed.
I'm fed up with this damn crap. It affects my forest and others around the mtn I live on, by killing lots of trees.
One morning I was sitting outside having my coffee and I heard a really loud pound on the ground, was a 150 foot oak tree, then only minutes later to hear another drop. These heavy metals affect my garden. It has to be stopped. 🙏🤞

Learning both is even better. I'll cover this in the video tonight.
2. It's true that avoiding making contrail cirrus will cost the airlines more, but I think we all agree it's worth it. Yes, there are ways to alter jet fuel to possibly create less clouds, but the best way forward is flights altering their path or altitude to avoid ice supersaturated regions (ISSR), called "Contrail Avoidance" and they won't make clouds that linger, spread, and block sunlight. This will cost more fuel, meaning slightly more nanoparticles from exhaust and erosion, but is 95% guaranteed to stop aviation induced cloudiness. Of course, the airlines will pass this cost on to consumers.
Why can't we go after both? If DOGE can identify where the $ is coming from that pays for all this dangerous stupid ugly unnecessary reflective particle spraying of any kind other than regular aircraft...
